Our Story

Little River Baptist Church has a long history dating all the way back to the days of the early Pioneers. It is the oldest known church in Alexander County, NC, being founded in 1792! By God's grace, it has continued to be a place of worship for the saints and a place of refuge for the sinner to freely come and hear the good news of Jesus Christ. It has undergone many remodels and additions over the years. The marker shown in the photo was installed next to the front doors of the vestibule during a remodel that was completed in 1975.

LRBC is still growing today! Our Lord has blessed us with many wonderful families and members in attendance of all ages. As we continue to serve Him in this generation, we are stiving to maintain a Christ centered atmosphere built upon the truth of God's Holy Word, in hopes that we walk in the faith of those that were before us and preserve it for the future generations ahead! It's all about Jesus Christ, and because of Christ, and for Christ, that we are what we are, and do what we do! He is the Vine and we are the branches!

We certainly are blessed to see His work of grace at LRBC. We love our Church family and the story that He is writing!!
